Former Publicis Health Media (PHM) CEO Andrea Palmer has revealed her next post. The executive has taken the CEO position at Assembled Intelligence, the agency that Minds + Assembly launched last year to integrate its flurry of acquisitions.
Palmer climbed the ladder at PHM, becoming president in 2019 and taking over as CEO in 2024. News of Palmer’s departure emerged last month, when PHM appointed Stephen Farquhar as CEO. At the time, it was unclear why Palmer, who spent more than 15 years at Publicis, had stepped down as CEO or where she would land next.
Assembled Intelligence filled in some of the gaps this week. Effective immediately, Palmer has replaced Mark Lydiatt as CEO. Lydiatt will continue to support the company as a member of the board and as a strategic advisor to the leadership team.
Assembled Intelligence cited Palmer’s experience integrating AI and programmatic marketing into PHM’s infrastructure in its overview of her background. Palmer outlined how she plans to use her experience to lead the team at a time when AI and consumer expectations are changing quickly.
“My focus is on bringing together science, creative, media, data analytics and market access capabilities in ways this industry hasn't seen before, and to help our clients move first and move boldly,” Palmer said.
Assembled Intelligence named Chuck Hemann as chief business and AI officer in June. Lydiatt, then the CEO of Assembled Intelligence, framed the appointment in the context of the rise of AI platforms that are “opening entirely new service models that weren’t economically or practically feasible before.”
Lydiatt co-founded Boldscience in 2020. The medical communications agency joined forces with Minds + Assembly in 2024. Lydiatt became CEO of Minds + Assembly as part of the deal. The Boldscience pact was part of a string of deals that Minds + Assembly struck after receiving investment from Amulet Capital Partners. In quick succession, the agency bought Awaken Interactive, HashtagHealth and Stratevi.
Last year, Minds + Assembly launched Assembled Intelligence to unite the capabilities acquired across its deal spree. As Assembled Intelligence’s second CEO, Palmer will work closely with Amulet Capital as she oversees the next stage of the agency’s plan.
