New year, new Veeda.
The India-based CRO formerly known as Veeda Group has kicked off 2025 with a brand makeover. According to a Thursday announcement, it’s now operating under the moniker of Veeda Lifesciences, which will encompass four core business units, spanning clinical trials, healthy volunteer services, biopharma services and preclinical and nonclinical testing services.
The rebrand comes with a logo change, too. The new design features a modern, sans-serif font in complementary shades of green. In a condensed iteration, the two lowercase letter Es from the word Veeda are transformed into an infinity symbol.
That infinity-inspired design seems to reflect that of Heads, the European CRO that Veeda Clinical Research acquired in the spring of 2024 and which expanded its footprint across Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
In this week’s announcement, Veeda said the rebrand is meant to reflect the company’s ongoing transformation from a generics-focused CRO into a broader drug development services provider, comprising both CRO and CDMO offerings.
“The name—Veeda Lifesciences—and the new logo, designed to be modern and dynamic, symbolize the Group’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to its core values and mission. It adds aspirational value to our growth and vision for the future, striving for innovation, excellence, and client satisfaction,” Mahesh Bhalgat, Veeda’s group CEO and managing director, said in a statement, adding, “We continue to diversify our base offering services serving the growing needs of our clients.”
In addition to last year’s Heads acquisition, Veeda further broadened its reach in 2021, when it picked up Indian research firm Bioneeds, thus expanding into preclinical services.
