Veeva’s Ed Park: 4 pillars to guide commercial data strategy

As science becomes increasingly specialized and healthcare markets grow more complex, pharma commercial teams must focus on alignment and reliability, says Ed Park, vice president of strategy, Veeva Compass. Speaking at the Fierce Pharma Marketing Forum, Park highlighted four key pillars when evaluating performance and commercial data:

  • Data integrity and completeness
  • Security and compliance
  • Actionability and interoperability
  • Alignment with the right partners.

He stressed that reliability—both in the data and in the partners providing it—is the guiding principle that should drive every commercialization effort.

Park emphasized that success isn’t about overhauling strategies but ensuring frequent alignment across stakeholders to define goals, tactics and measures of success. He added that the rapid pace of technology provides better visibility into markets, requiring organizations to continuously refine how they define and measure progress.
