Report: Bohuon to leave Abbott, go to Pierre Fabre

Olivier Bohuon, who heads Abbott's pharmaceutical products unit, is leaving the company. In an SEC filing, Abbott says he will announce his plans to accept another position shortly. However, French reports indicate that he is succeeding Jean-Pierre Garnier as head of Pierre Fabre.

Richard Gonzalez has been named as Bohuon's interim replacement, the filing notes. Gonzalez was formerly Abbott's president and chief operating officer before his retirement in 2007. Gonzalez returned to Abbott last year to head up Abbott Ventures, the company's device biotech venture group, and will continue to hold that post, Dow Jones adds.
