British pharma Premier Research has some ultra-ambitious managers--they're bidding for a takeover. The company announced that a group of executives has expressed interest in mounting a buyout, making clear it's skeptical that an actual offer will be forthcoming. Just in case, Premier's board has formed an independent committee to consider the bid, if one is eventually made. The company's shares were up 10 percent in early trading.
