FDA recruits consumer reps for advisory panels

The FDA has put out a call for consumer representatives to serve on its advisory committees, NPR reports. "You don't have to be a doctor, a scientist, or a health care professional to serve as a consumer representative," FDA's Dornette Spell-LeSane says in a statement. But she notes, committee members should have ties to a consumer or community group. Report
