BioStorage Technologies Appoints New Global Director of Supply Chain       

BioStorage Technologies Inc., a global leader in temperature-controlled biomaterial storage, cold chain logistics and sample management for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, has announced the appointment of Russ Hager to global director of supply chain.


Based at the company's U.S. headquarters, Hager will spearhead BioStorage Technologies' supply chain activities for its sample relocation services, global logistics operations and sample storage facilities. Hager, recognized as a specialist on warehousing and transportation, brings extensive experience in domestic and international supply chain management to the company.


"Russ has an impressive track record of more than 27 years in global supply chain management, much of it in senior leadership positions," said Lori Ball, chief operating officer, BioStorage Technologies. "As our operations continue to grow globally, he will play a crucial role in expanding our worldwide presence as a leader for secure and compliant sample management."


With extensive knowledge in global compliance and cold chain logistics support within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments, Hager has a strong background in the FDA- regulated medical device and pharma industries. He has also developed business continuity plans for manufacturing and logistics operations.


Hager most recently served as the director of global logistics at Belden. Prior to Belden, he worked for Abbott Laboratories in roles of progressive responsibility, including senior leadership within global logistics, inventory, distribution, operations and engineering. Hager earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.
