Australia's Garvan Institute identifies four subtypes of pancreatic cancer genomes

SINGAPORE--Researchers at Australia's Garvan Institute report in Nature they have been able to identify four subtypes of the 100 pancreatic cancer genomes, enhancing the possibility of finding the proper treatment. Joint work carried out UK researchers was able to detect structural variations that previously had been invisible. The finding means researchers now have the ability to zoom in and get more detail.
