NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas recently announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Sandor as vice president, head of oncology therapeutic area in Marketing Strategy. In this role, Sandor will provide strategic commercial leadership for projects within the oncology therapeutic area. He will report to Yukio Matsui, senior vice president and head of Marketing Strategy.

Sandor brings 19 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Astellas. Most recently, Sandor served as vice president, Global Marketing Therapeutic Area Head Oncology at Amgen. He was also vice president, Strategy and Portfolio Management, Specialized Medicine at Bayer.
Sandor earned his master's degree in business administration from Middlesex University, United Kingdom. He holds a M.D. from the University of PECS in Hungary.
