Klick Health has struck its third takeover in 18 months, snapping up Oxford PharmaGenesis to expand its global reach and deepen its scientific expertise.
Founded in 1997, Klick stayed out of the M&A game for most of its history. The Toronto-based marketing agency moved off the dealmaking sidelines early last year, when it bought Peregrine Market Access and Ward6 Singapore’s operations in quick succession. Months after the Ward6 deal, Klick received growth investment from Linden Capital Partners and GIC to accelerate the expansion of its services.
One year after receiving the investment, Klick has made Oxford PharmaGenesis its biggest acquisition yet. Oxford PharmaGenesis is a U.K.-based healthcare communications consultancy that employs more than 500 people across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Klick highlighted Oxford PharmaGenesis’ medical affairs and market access expertise to explain the deal. Oxford PharmaGenesis brings scientific expertise, including in oncology and rare disease, and capabilities in real-world evidence and health economics and outcomes research to Klick. In turn, Klick identified its medical, creative and digital capabilities as elements that will benefit Oxford PharmaGenesis.
The agency named geographic reach as another driver of the deal. Following the takeover, the agency has 12 offices across North America, the U.K., Australia, Brazil and Singapore. The footprint reflects a multiyear effort to expand globally, which began in 2022 with the unveiling of a plan to open offices in Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America.
Klick opened a hub in Singapore in 2023 and bought Ward6’s operations in the country in 2025. Oxford PharmaGenesis has offices in multiple cities in the U.K., plus a presence in Melbourne, Australia, and in the U.S.
Both companies’ work has received external recognition. Klick secured its latest prizes last week at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, where it became the first company to complete a clean sweep of the top health agency trophies. The company took the honors in the healthcare agency, healthcare network and independent health agency categories.
