Meet the Damouni Group, a new comms and corporate affairs agency launching this month founded and led by Sasha Damouni Ellis.
The agency in Tampa, Florida, is establishing a network of experts and providers to offer services to life sciences clients. These services include issue and crisis management, restructuring and litigation as well as creative marketing and branding.
Damouni Ellis will build the agency from more than two decades of experience as a healthcare journalist and corporate communications officer.
She’s served stints as chief corporate affairs officer at Vir Biotechnology and senior vice president of media relations at Marinus Pharmaceuticals, and she led external communications and media relations at Bayer U.S.
Before her move into biopharma, she was a healthcare journalist and editor at Bloomberg News and global editor of BioPharm Insight (Pharmawire).
“Over the last decade, I’ve witnessed communications evolve into a more cross-functional role, emphasizing shared metrics beyond traditional publicity and media relations,” Damouni Ellis said in a release.
“It is increasingly important to integrate investor, patient, policy, and other stakeholder perspectives into the overall storytelling strategy, particularly in early to mid-stage life science companies," she said. "We’re excited to establish an advisory agency which offers a corporate affairs perspective that empowers clients to navigate the dynamic healthcare landscape throughout every step of a company’s life cycle.”
