AstraZeneca taps Indegene to scale up its omnichannel operations

AstraZeneca has signed up life sciences commercialization supporter Indegene to help the British-based Big Pharma with its omnichannel operations.

In a nutshell the deal sees Indegene, which is based in Bangalore, help manage AZ’s brand presence across multiple channels, including areas such as websites, apps, and social media, all the while trying to create a seamless experience throughout the customer journey.

Indegene said in a press release that it will help AZ “scale up its omnichannel operations across the globe with an aim to create a more personalized customer experience.”

To do this it will tap its healthcare domain expertise and experience in operating digital centers of excellence to “help streamline the client’s global content supply chain and orchestrate personalized customer journeys in an agile, global engagement model,” it added in the release.

“As patients and physicians progressively engage with life sciences companies through a wide variety of communication channels, omnichannel operations are vital to create personalized experiences at scale,” said Sanjay Parikh, Executive Director and EVP, Indegene.

“We are excited at the opportunity to apply our healthcare domain expertise and technology accelerators to enable and empower life sciences companies on their omnichannel journey.”

Specific details on how Indegene will help, and how much the contract is worth, were not disclosed.

This comes just two weeks after Indegene snapped up CultHealth, a full-service healthcare marketing agency, in an unpriced deal aimed at boosting Indegene’s clientele, expand its brand and marketing capabilities, and increase its patient engagement platforms.
