In a bid to break down barriers facing both pharmas and payers in the life sciences industry, AscellaHealth has begun producing a new podcast that’ll talk through major issues in the space.
The first installment of AscellaHealth Podcast Pulse went live this week on Spotify and the pharmaceutical services provider’s website, according to a company announcement, and future episodes will arrive on a monthly basis.
Across three parts, the first episode brought together Donovan Quill and Gillian Molloy—AscellaHealth’s executive VP of business development, growth and strategy and VP of market access, respectively—to discuss the current and future state of the specialty pharma market. They also walked through the funding and reimbursement aspects of the process of bringing a rare disease drug to market, including the option of teaming up with a single-source commercialization partner like AscellaHealth.
In that vein, CEO Dea Belazi suggested in the announcement that in addition to being an informative tool for the larger life sciences community, the podcast will also help AscellaHealth and its partners improve their own work.
“This podcast series provides a platform for gathering industry insights and the perspectives of thought leaders on opportunities to address key challenges facing our clients, partners and patients worldwide,” Belazi said. “Through engaging discussions with industry experts, we are driving positive change and innovation that guides our dedicated team to get critical therapies for complex, chronic conditions from manufacturers to patients.”
Future episodes will cover topics like clinical trial customization, managing specialty drug costs, patient advocacy and more, featuring interviews with more of the company’s “internal and external life sciences industry leaders,” as Quill noted in the release.
