Advertising Age Names Publicis Health Media As One Of The 50 Best Places To Work In Advertising And Media

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Publicis Health Media (PHM) was named one of the 50 Best Places to Work in Advertising & Media by Advertising Age. PHM was among 50 companies selected based on criteria such as hiring practices, benefits packages, salaries, office perks, workplace environment and design. Nearly 20,000 people were surveyed as part of the selection process.

PHM is one of few health agencies to make the list and the highest ranking health agency to receive this recognition. The agency selection is based on a combination of the "best benefits and most-engaged employees" and PHM has demonstrated leadership and innovation across this criteria. For example, PHM has been lauded for their unique employee perks such as a generous time off policy, recognition of professional milestones, programs to support a healthy lifestyle and an annual day of service where the office closes for the day so employees can volunteer in the local community. In addition, PHM's collaborative work environment which is exemplified by their Subject Matter Expert Program, allows employees to voluntarily meet with other experts outside of their team to connect with those who share similar passions and learn about other areas within the company.

PHM 's success can also be attributed to a distinct corporate culture that rewards hard work and fosters forward thinking. "Brave Awards" were created to encourage and reward creativity across all employee levels. Innovative workspaces, meeting areas and a state-of-the-art innovation lab that houses today's top technology gadgets were created so teams can demonstrate the value the devices can add to their campaigns hands on.

"As always, the competition was tough. Out of the hundreds of companies who applied, we're calling out more honorees than ever before. Fifty big shops, independents, agencies, ad tech, and media companies earned recognition for being leaders in recruiting, retaining, and cultivating talent," said Ken Wheaton, editor of Advertising Age. "At the end of the day all these organizations are in the talent business and they're doing it right. They're finding interesting, relevant, and often unexpected ways to create cultures and work environments that keep employees engaged."

"We are thrilled that in just three years our team is receiving this prestigious recognition from Advertising Age as one of the 50 Best Places to Work in Advertising & Media," said Matt McNally, President of Publicis Health Media. "Our unique corporate culture is cultivated by an outstanding team of hard working, innovative and talented individuals who are dedicated to making PHM the best in the business."

"Giving back to the community is something that Publicis Health Media employees expect," McNally explains.  Numerous employees are involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southeastern, Pennsylvania and their Beyond School Walls program. Twice a month local high school students ("Littles") come into the agency to meet with their "Bigs". "This has been an incredible program that not only benefits young adults in the area, but helps make Publicis Health Media employees better mentors."

"We don't make products, we invest in people. I couldn't be more honored and humbled by this recognition of our very special people and culture," says McNally.

Submissions were evaluated by Advertising Age research partner Buck Consultants LLC. With nearly a century of experience in employee and human resource consulting, Buck crafted two surveys to help Advertising Age find the companies with the best benefits and most-engaged employees. The employer survey contained about 100 questions, including questions about pay, promotions, health care and other benefits and hiring practices. The employee survey contained about 50 questions. It measured aspects of the workplace environment that contribute to an engaged staff, including matters such as fairness of pay, vacation time, relationships with management and co-workers, career development and other workplace issues. Any agency, ad tech or media company with more than 40 full-time employees in the U.S. was eligible.
