Venus Remedies gets 9 Ukraine plants approved

Some Indian drugmakers are having a particularly bad time with manufacturing these days, but Venus Remedies says it has recently gotten the thumbs up for the GMP standards at 9 plants. Those plants are in the Ukraine, according to PharmaBiz. The company said the facilities manufacture everything from cephalosporin injections and carbepenem drugs to liquid injection cancer drugs and oncology lyophilized injections. The report from Venus comes even as Indian generic drugmaker Wockhardt said it had received a warning letter from the FDA tied to a May import alert on its plant in Waluj, India. Products from that plant have also been banned in the U.S. and Europe. Story | More
