Snow collapses roof and throat lozenge market opportunity

Last winter's snow in the Boston area caused a roof collapse at First Boston Pharma, production site of Cepacol throat lozenges. Cepacol distributor Reckitt Benckiser has filed suit, alleging that rather than working on a plan to continue production as promised, First Boston Pharma CEO Tim Hannan was trying to sell the company's assets. He found a buyer in BestSweet, leaving Reckitt with no way to fill waiting pharmacy shelves. Story
