Partners open kilo-scale chemical labs

Contract researcher Nanosyn and Paris-based fine-chemicals maker PCAS are jointly operating a cGMP lab to extend their custom chemical services from discovery through commercialization. The FDA-inspected facility of the transatlantic joint venture, aptly called PCAS-Nanosyn, is located in Santa Rosa, CA.

Two of the kilo-scale facility's six GMP suites are Class 10,000 cleanrooms. The company says the site is fully operational.

The partners already have plans to expand the site, acquired by Nanosyn earlier this year from Seres Labs, by upgrading its existing R&D and analytical capabilities and increasing capacity.
