Indonesia's Kalbe Farma recalls anesthetic, cardio drugs for quality control

SINGAPORE--Kalbe Farma said it has ordered a recall two of its drugs in Indonesia, an anesthetic and cardiovascular treatment, but did not identify the problem other than to say it was a quality-control procedure.

Indonesia's largest pharmaceutical firm said it recalled one entire batch of Buvanest Spinal anesthetic and two batches of its Asam Tranexamat Generik, prescribed for cardiovascular and hematopoietic treatment.

The announcement was made in a financial filing with the Jakarta stock exchange, Reuters reported.
