AZ works to reduce energy, solvent use

For the second year in a row, AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) has won the EcoLeadership Award bestowed by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence. The company decreased energy use by 2 percent in 2009. And a green chemistry initiative is reducing the use of harmful solvents, including a 60 percent drop in halogenated solvents over the past four years. Release | Article
