Aratana Therapeutics looks to raise $41.6M with share offering

Aratana Therapeutics ($PETX), an animal health company, said it will offer 4.5 million shares of common stock to raise money for future product launches, the Kansas City Business Journal reported. The Kansas City, KS-based company hopes to raise $41.6 million in the offering. The company also said in its SEC filing that it may  use money to acquire more technologies or businesses. A year ago, Aratana purchased San Diego-based Vet Therapeutics, which is focused on canine cancer. Aratana will offer shares at $9.25. Article
