Nexium tops pharma websites
How do you know if they really love your drug? As with most everything in human psychology, it's a tea-leaves game--and one teacup ready for your reading pleasure is a new report on the most popular websites among prescription drugs. According to the ranking from comScore, AstraZeneca's Nexium got the most web traffic with more than a million unique visitors.
Next in line was Actos, with a huge increase in hits--a whopping 2399 percent's worth. The Takeda diabetes med drew heightened interest as safety concerns arose about a competitor--and sister drug--Avandia, made by GlaxoSmithKline. Another big gainer was Januvia, Merck's diabetes treatment, which saw its web traffic leap by 329 percent. Januvia didn't crack the top five, however; numbers three, four and five, respectively, were Ambien CR, Gardasil and Lexapro.
