EMEA affirms Gardasil after two deaths
Two young women died suddenly and mysteriously after getting the Gardasil vaccine, European regulators announced yesterday. Did the vaccine precipitate their deaths? No one knows. But Europe's drug watchdogs emphasized the fact that 1.5 million women have been vaccinated with Gardasil so far, and they said the benefits of this cervical cancer preventative still outweigh the risks.
Sanofi Pasteur, which collaborated with Merck in developing Gardasil and markets the product in Europe, is downplaying the shot's link to the deaths. Medical Director Nicholas Kitchin told The Telegraph that German and Austrian officials have "looked pretty extensively" at the two deaths and haven't found evidence that the vaccine caused them.
Previously, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced four deaths in young women who'd been vaccinated with Gardasil, but officials said that the deaths didn't appear to be caused by the shot. At the time, 5 million doses of Gardasil had been distributed in the U.S., but the number of patients who'd received shots was unknown.

If Pharmas don't rely on Biotech start-ups, whom would they rely on?
Two deaths and the risks outweight the benefits. To who? The mother of either of those girls? And there have been far more deaths than that. Just go to VAERS and look for them.
This vaccine has NOT been proven to even work, read the their own studies. Its trial was in 16 year old girls and younger and they only tested a relatively small number of girls.
This vaccine is nothing more than a marketing ploy for million on millions of dollars at your daughter's expense. And now they are going to start marketing it to your sons as well.
Fruit, veggies, non smoking, healthy living and a decrease in sexual partners will keep the HPV cancer at bay. In fact, it's proven that most people have already dealt with HPV and cleared it up on their own with their OWN immune system.
Stop buying into the theory that vaccines are saving the world. They aren't. IN fact, they are killing us and culling our children from every having a productive family.
Did you know that Polysorbate 80 is in this vaccine. Did you know that it's been proven to cause infertility in mice. Why are we shooting up our baby girls with a chemcial compound that may cause them to be sterile? Insane.
Does aayone know what the patients die of? Were all the death similar?
No drug or vaccine is without risk, but don't justify your scaremongering with stupid representation of supposed evidence. The 0.5ml in each Gardasil injection contains 50 micrograms of polysorbate-80. The injections given to the rats in the study you refer to (not mice btw) contained between 1,000 micrograms and 10,000 micrograms. That's 20 to 200 times as much. The rats were babies too, so on a weight for weight basis they were dosed with about 40,000 to 400,000 times what the average 15 yr old is going to get. Even with inter-species variation in reactions that's a massive difference.
and i forgot to say that, for better or for worse, polysorbate is also present in rather large quantities in the ice cream that you stuff your face with
Where are the long term studies that show the safety and effectiveness? There aren't any long term studies! Merck just wants the money and our young women will pay the price - anyone remember DES? Don't give daughters this vaccine!
