Court: Wyeth can be sued over thimerosal
The Georgia Supreme Court has allowed an Atlanta couple to pursue a suit that attempts to prove a Wyeth vaccine containing thimerosal caused their son's disability. The state's high court upheld a first-of-its-kind ruling by an appellate court that had drawn fierce opposition from the vaccine industry; Wyeth says it will appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
