City to sue Merck, Schering-Plough

Tools

The city of New Haven, Connecticut will be suing Merck and Schering-Plough on the basis that Vyotrin doesn't work.

New Haven, which has spent $100,000 shy of a half million dollars on Vytorin and Zetia for employees, will seek reimbursement for the tax money it spent on the medications.

While Merck did not comment, a Schering-Plough spokesperson said the company stood behind its product and would fight any challenge vigorously.
