Boston Scientific hands out pink slips
Look for Boston Scientific workers at the nearest job fair. The device maker's previously announced job cuts--some 2,300, according to company forecasts--have begun. The Massachusetts-based company started letting staff go in Minnesota on Tuesday, with terminated workers getting 60 days' notice, plus severance and outplacement services. An estimated 500 to 600 will be laid off in Arden Hills, Minnesota; the company has another big operation in Maple Grove.
