Bayer fined $16.2M in price-fixing probe
Bayer was fined $16.2 million for fixing the prices of aspirin and other over-the-counter meds in Germany; the government alleged that a local Bayer subsidiary made illegal rebate deals with more than 21,000 pharmacies. Bayer denied the allegations, saying it agreed to the fine to avoid a long legal fight. Report
