Americans prioritize medication prices
In addition to electing a new president, U.S. voters would like to see the price of prescription drugs come down, according to a survey that the Alliance of Minority Medical Associations has conducted. According to the survey, affordability of medicines is a top priority of 47 percent of respondents. Less than a quarter of respondents said that ease of access to doctors, clinics and hospitals was a second priority for them.
Americans are also supportive of more rapid approvals of generic medications and biotechnology add-ons for current drugs, the survey found.
