Beyond Conventional Neoantigen Discovery: Expanding the Search for Clinically Relevant Targets with AI
Neoantigen-based therapies are rapidly advancing and have emerged as a promising approach in precision immuno-oncology. As the field evolves, the challenge is no longer generating candidate neoantigens, but identifying those most likely to drive meaningful clinical outcomes. While many discovery efforts focus on conventional mutation-derived targets, emerging evidence suggests that additional sources of tumor-specific antigens may hold significant therapeutic potential. However, expanding the neoantigen search space also increases the complexity of target identification and prioritization.
