From Pilots to Practice: Scaling AI Across Clinical Trials

ET
60 Minutes

A clear divide is emerging in the adoption of AI across clinical trials. Early adopters are pulling ahead and achieving measurable results while many organizations still remain stuck in isolated pilots, constrained by fragmented data, disconnected point solutions, and integration challenges.

Closing this gap requires more than deploying individual tools for specific use cases. Organizations must establish the data foundations, governance, workflows, and connected platform architecture needed to apply AI across the trial lifecycle and study portfolio.

Join industry leaders from Worldwide Clinical Trials, Everest Group and Medidata for a discussion informed by Medidata’s latest research into the state of AI in clinical trials. Explore where AI is delivering value today, how adoption is evolving, and what organizations can do to move from experimentation to sustainable, enterprise-wide implementation.

Topics will include:

  • The growing performance gap between early adopters and organizations that remain in the pilot stage
  • Data, integration, governance, and operational barriers that can prevent broader adoption
  • How isolated AI applications limit value across the clinical trial lifecycle
  • Why leaders like Worldwide Clinical Trials are shifting to a platform-wide architecture like Medidata Plus to support AI across studies and portfolios
  • Where the industry is headed, from protocol simulation and virtual twins to agentic AI
