Teenager's death not caused by HPV vax

The recent death of a teenage girl in the UK shortly after she was immunized with a dose of the cervical cancer vaccine Cervarix raised fears about possible side effects. But an inquest heard that the girl died of a malignant chest tumor rather than any reaction. "There is no indication that the HPV vaccine, which she had received shortly before her death, was a contributing factor to the death, which could have arisen at any point," said Dr Caron Grainger, joint director of public health for the Coventry area.
