PSC buys high-potency fill-finish facility from U.S. research group

Pomona, CA-based PSC Investments has bought a 37,000-square-foot high-potency sterile injectable fill-finish facility from the Morgridge Institute for Research. The private research institute is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The company, which traditionally provides consulting services to the life sciences industry, did not disclose terms of the deal. It has said it will name the business BioTechnique and expects to be ready for production next year. The deal comes even as many contract manufacturers are expanding their high-potency operations because of the growing demand for drugs needing high-potency APIs. Release | More
