Contract manufacturer Penn Pharma is investing £14 million ($22.3 million) into its plant in South Wales, U.K., to expand its tablet and capsule manufacturing. The company is adding about 15,000 square feet. It expects the new addition to be online in January of next year. The company this week named Jerome Detreille its new senior director of new business development, who it said can help the company capitalize its expanded capabilities. Detreille, who previously oversaw a European business development team for Catalent Pharma, said: "The expansion of our High Containment Operations will give us competitive advantage in the provision of highly potent development and contract manufacturing."
