Abbott gets more incentives for its new Ensure plant

More incentives are trickling into Abbott ($ABT) to help offset the cost of its $270 million manufacturing plant being built in Tipp City, near Dayton, OH. The Dayton Daily News reports the city will build a road and also waive more than $65,000 worth of city fees. A development agency recently approved a $1.5 million loan to the pharmaceutical powerhouse, which it reportedly will use to offset the cost of equipment. Abbott will manufacture Ensure and Glucerna nutritional shakes at the new facility. Construction is slated to begin this month and with completion slated for 2013. The manufacturing facility will employ an estimated 240 people. Story | More
