Details: Lechleiter became Lilly's chairman in 2009, which the committee considered when establishing his $1.48 million base salary, a 7 percent increase over 2008. His 2009 compensation also included $3.55 million in non-equity incentive plan compensation, $11.25 million in certain equity awards and $90,091 from a savings-plan match and tax reimbursements. He also holds shares valued at more than 11 times his salary. Lechleiter has asked that his base salary not be increased for 2010.
