FDA loses another top dog in quality to Mylan

Steve Lynn, Mylan's new vice president of global quality and compliance

The FDA has been emphasizing quality to drugmakers in the last couple of years and made changes in the department to emphasize its importance. But as Regulatory Focus points out, it has lost some of its top talent in that arena. Mylan ($MYL) has hired away a second top FDA quality official, it reports. Steve Lynn, director of FDA's Office of Manufacturing and Product Quality (OPQM), leaves May 9 to become vice president of global quality and compliance for the drugmaker. Lynn has been with the department since 2007. Deborah Autor, who was deputy commissioner of the Office of Global Regulatory Operations and Policy (GO), went to Mylan in April 2013 as senior VP of Strategic Global Quality and Regulatory Policy.
