BYU team devises method to speed up vaccine production

Brigham Young University researchers have developed a "just add water" method to expedite vaccine production in the face of new viruses. The process, published in Biotechnology Journal, involves creating vaccine production machinery en masse and then freeze-drying it and stockpiling it in different locations. In the event the vaccines are needed when a virus hits, labs can add water to produce the vaccines quickly, the researchers said. Release | Abstract
