Resonetics Appoints Medical Device Veteran As Chief Executive Officer

NASHUA, N.H., Aug. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Resonetics, a leading supplier of polymer micromachining services and systems for the life sciences industry, announced that Tom Burns has been named Chief Executive Officer.

Burns brings 25 years of diverse experience in medical devices and contract manufacturing to the company. Most recently he was vice president of business development at Tegra Medical, where he led the strategy and customer facing operations for five acquired companies. Prior to Tegra, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for Web Industries, a contract manufacturer serving the medical diagnostics and aerospace industries. Burns spent nine years with Accellent and two of its acquired companies in various sales and marketing roles, providing contract engineering and manufacturing services to the medical device industry. In the first ten years of his career, Burns served in different sales, marketing and management roles for Genzyme, Edwards Lifesciences, and Johnson & Johnson. He has a B.S.B.A. from Northeastern University.
