NextPharma Technologies Announces Commencement of Construction of ‘State of the Art' Cold Chain and Logistics Warehouse in Werne, Germany

Surrey, UK, 7th October, 2010 - NextPharma, the leading European provider of product development, contract manufacturing and cold chain and logistics outsourcing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, is pleased to announce that the construction of its ‘state of the art' Cold Chain and Logistics (CLS) warehouse in Werne, Germany will commence in October 2010 and is scheduled to be operational at the end of the first quarter of 2011. The ‘built-to-suit' warehouse will be developed by Goodman, the integrated property group which owns, develops and manages business and logistics space globally.

The new facility is strategically located 3 km away from the A1 motorway in western Germany, between Münster and Dortmund. It will have 15,800m² of warehouse and 1,000m² of office space. It has the capacity to house up to 26,000 euro-pallets, starting with an initial 19,000 euro-pallets and will employ some 40 people.

Additionally, it will have modern temperature monitoring (under floor heating, hot-air blowers and air conditioning.) The buildings, as well as meeting pharmaceutical service provider requirements, consists of 2 fire sections, 7 conventional docks, 1 jumbo dock and 1 insulated dock will have wholesaler authorization (§52a AMG) and a manufacturing license (§13 AMG) for manual re-packaging, bundling and labeling of secondary packaging.
