Annual enrollment begins today for 2013 Medicare plans and (NYSE: HUM) and Walmart (NYSE: WMT) will once again help beneficiaries afford their prescriptions. The Humana Walmart-Preferred Rx Plan, which has grown by more than 50 percent over the past year and has nearly 1.5 million Medicare beneficiaries currently enrolled, features:

Medicare Part D is the prescription drug program supported by the federal government. According to the ,nearly 20 million people are currently enrolled in a stand-alone Part D plan. Based on ,there are 40.2 million people 65 years and older, representing 13 percent of the total U.S. population.
