FiercePharma pauses for a gratitude break

Just in time for the holiday, the Wall Street Journal sums up the latest research on gratitude. The short version: Giving thanks makes humans happy. Studies have shown that writing down three things you're thankful for at the end of each day improves mood and boosts happiness. And people who express their gratitude to others get a long-lasting surge of goodwill.

So, this Thanksgiving, say thank you to the people around your dinner table (and anyone else you feel inspired to contact). You'll enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend that much more.

Speaking of which, FiercePharma will be taking a holiday Thursday to fill up on turkey and, yes, give thanks. We'll be back with a special issue of the newsletter on Friday. Until then, have a happy Thanksgiving. - Tracy (email)
