Eshoo (D – Palo Alto) was honored by the California Healthcare Institute (CHI) with the organization’s first-ever Champion for California Life Sciences Innovation award. The award was presented by CHI Chairman George Scangos, president & CEO, Exelixis; David Gollaher, president and CEO, CHI; David Beier, senior vice president, Global Government and Corporate Affairs, Amgen; William Rhodes, worldwide president, BD Biosciences; Bernardus N.M. Machielse, executive vice president, Operations, MedImmune; and John Martin, chairman and CEO, Gilead Sciences, at a CHI dinner in Washington, D.C.
