Antares Pharma Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Antares Pharma, Inc. (NYSE Amex: AIS) today announced that it intends, subject to market and other conditions, to offer its common stock in a registered public offering pursuant to its existing shelf registration statement under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. Antares also intends to grant the underwriters of the offering an option to purchase additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. Antares plans to use the proceeds from the offering for development of the Company’s proprietary Vibex™ MTX methotrexate injection system for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and general corporate purposes. Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is acting as the sole bookrunner for the offering.
