Abbott Wins Two Scrip Awards Recognizing Excellence in Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industries

ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Nov. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Scrip, a leading global pharmaceutical and biotech news organization, honored Abbott (NYSE: ABT) with two 2010 Scrip Awards for its business excellence and strong management.

Abbott received awards for Pharma Company of the Year and Management Team of the Year at Scrip's sixth annual awards ceremony in London on Thursday evening.  The Scrip Awards recognize excellence and achievement in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.  In 2009, Scrip recognized Mr. White as Executive of the Year.  

Scrip recognized Abbott as the Pharma Company of the Year and Management Team of the Year for the company's continued strong financial performance, emerging markets strategy, new product launches and diverse pipeline.
