New group wants to attract pharma manufacturing to the U.K.

A new Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership has been jointly established by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry and the BioIndustry Association. The idea is to make the U.K. more attractive for drug manufacturing. It will start by making sure companies know how to access the country's various incentive programs that are already available. This partnership will bring the biopharmaceutical industry together to work toward a common goal of creating an attractive and innovation-driven environment to ensure U.K. competitiveness in medicines manufacturing. Among its founding members are Actavis ($ACT), AstraZeneca ($AZN) and GlaxoSmithKline ($GSK), ThePharmaLetter reports. Report (sub. req.)
