GSK shares grant to help U.K. on how to rebuild its drug manufacturing base

GlaxoSmithKline ($GSK), which is making big investments in manufacturing in the U.K., will help its homeland try to figure out how to revive its manufacturing base. The drugmaker will oversee an £11 million ($18.4 million) grant for a consortium of 22 life sciences companies to research better ways to manufacture drugs, Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News reports.
