Ampio Pharmaceuticals ($AMPE) has licensed its fast-dissolving, premature-ejaculation pill, Zertane, to a Brazilian firm to market the drug there. Ampio announced its partnership with FBM Industria Farmaceutica this week, in keeping with its strategy to join forces with companies around the world to proliferate sales of its yet-to-be-approved drug. Ampio struck a similar deal with Korean firm Daewong Pharmaceuticals in September. Zertane, which completed Phase III trials in Europe last year, uses Ampio's proprietary fast-dissolve drug-delivery method, allowing users to take the pill without water and without a bitter aftertaste. Under the licensing agreements, the foreign firms can market and distribute the drug in their countries but must get regulatory approval on their own. Release
