Ogilvy Health nabs healthcare marketing veteran Tyler Montague as its new client leader

Ogilvy Health's hiring spree continues apace. This time, it's snapping up industry veteran Tyler Montague to serve as the company’s new EVP and client leader.

Montague will be responsible for “developing and maintaining all relationships, activities and services for his client accounts” while also leading strategic and tactical planning initiatives for each of them, the agency said.

Montague has held a variety of senior-level positions at both Publicis and WPP agencies, and he's spent time leading campaign development for some of the biggest brands in the world including AbbVie’s $20 billion-a-year autoimmune giant Humira, Eli Lilly’s erectile dysfunction drug Cialis and Pfizer’s major blockbuster and clot buster Lipitor.

“Tyler is a force in health marketing and behind some of the most successful global health brands in the past decade,” Ogilvy Health Global CEO Kim Johnson said in a release.

This latest hire comes as the New York-based agency has been undertaking some major leadership reshuffles over the past 12 months. A new CEO parachuted in last July in the form of Johnson, who moved over from parent company WPP to fill the gap left by former chief Kate Cronin after she departed to Moderna.

And at the start of this year, Ogilvy Health hired Adam Hessel as its new chief creative officer; he came to the agency after a two-year stint as creative chief for Harrison & Starr.

Johnson said Montague will lead key client partnerships and "create added value" for clients. "Tyler has a strong foundation in driving heath brand and customer experience integration by leveraging insight and creativity to produce better outcomes for clients’ business

Montague said Ogilvy Health “has a tremendous legacy of creativity” and that he was “excited to be part of the next chapter as we continue to evolve how we drive greater impact for both healthcare brands and customers in this increasingly important and complex space.”
