Recession shines light on inventory

Reducing inventory is the top action manufacturers have taken in response to the recession, as reported by more than half of respondents to a survey. Findings in the Aberdeen study show that 91 percent of companies indicate that they are reviewing opportunities to improve inventory performance through process change. Some 61 percent say they have made, or have been asked to make, inventory-related technology recommendations within the past six months. Release
