PHARMA TECH INDUSTRIES CREATES 50 JOBS IN HART COUNTY

Contract development, manufacturing and packing company invests $8.5 million in Royston, Ga.

ATLANTA, December 4, 2013 – The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) announced today that Pharma Tech Industries will expand their manufacturing capabilities, creating 50 full-time positions and investing $8.5 million in Hart County.

"Georgia has taken the lead in the healthcare industry, especially when it comes to providing jobs," said Chris Carr, Commissioner of the GDEcD. "The Pharma Tech Industries expansion is an indicator that our highly skilled talent pool and interconnected transportation network are well-equipped to meet growing healthcare demands."

Recently, Pharma Tech Industries further expanded its operation by installing new FDA/ ISO 8 clean rooms and CGMP equipment capabilities in its plant in Royston, Ga.

"Pharma Tech has been successful in growing our business because of our focus on being the producer of choice for high value products," said Tee Noland, Chairman and CEO of Pharma Tech Industries. "With the support of county and Georgia state officials, Pharma Tech has become firmly rooted in Hart County. The availability of a motivated and trainable workforce has allowed us to expand our business model and quickly carve out additional volume for ourselves. The $8.5 million dollar investment to expanding manufacturing of pharmaceutical product lines was envisioned from the beginning and is a logical extension of our current activities. In addition to the requirements for workers this new investment creates, we anticipate that the growth in the types of products we currently manufacture will create additional opportunities for expansion in the future."

The Hart County Board of Commission, as well as the Hart County Industrial Building Authority assisted the company with the expansion project. Tammy Caudell, Project Manager at GDEcD, supported the project on behalf of the state.

"The Hart County Board of Commissioners is very pleased to see Pharma Tech Industries continuing to expand its business and workforce in Hart County," said Bill Myers, Hart County Board of Commission Chairman.

"This expansion represents a significant commitment by Pharma Tech in Hart County and we are excited by the positive impact that these technically based, advanced manufacturing job opportunities have for our local area citizens," said Douglas Cleveland, Chairman of Hart County Industrial Building Authority.
