J&J adds meat to QA, QC bones

Corporate VP Ajit Shetty drew the short straw and will head a manufacturing, quality and compliance framework for Johnson & Johnson, whose sterling reputation has been tarnished by recent Tylenol recalls. He'll have a head of quality reporting to him from the company's pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer groups. J&J also has been advertising manager and staff-level QA/QC openings. Vacancies include "senior manager, quality assurance investigation and technical support," "principal quality engineer," "manager, quality assurance," and this one, possibly culled from an FDA warning letter: QA manager in Fort Washington responsible for making sure "rejected materials are segregated and disposed of in a timely manner."
